Mount Pleasant Rotary Club Christmas Parade

The Christmas Parade is one of Mount Pleasant's most consistent traditions. Organized by the Mount Pleasant Rotary Club, the parade runs through downtown on the first Friday of December, and it draws families from across Titus County who line the route with blankets, lawn chairs, and kids bundled up against the December chill. The 2026 parade is set for Friday, December 4, starting at 6:00 PM.

The Christmas Parade is the kind of event that defines a community's calendar. The route runs through downtown, past the historic storefronts and the square, with floats from local churches, school bands from across Titus County, civic clubs, and the volunteer fire departments that still anchor rural communities. It is not a big-city parade. It is better than a big-city parade because the people on the floats are the same people you see at the feed store and the post office.
