The band
Rockland Road started as the Martin Family Circus, a name given to them by Vince Gill in 2007 when the family began singing together. They changed their name to Rockland Road, named after the street in Hendersonville where Jamie's parents had a recording studio where countless hit records were produced. The band spans country, gospel, pop, R&B, and Americana genres, with all members being vocalists and multi-instrumentalists. Paul Martin left Marty Stuart's band in early 2015 to pursue music with his family full-time, and the band has since built a reputation as one of the most engaging family acts in country music.
The fair
The 51st annual Titus County Fair runs September 30 through October 3, 2026, at the Titus County Fairgrounds in Mount Pleasant. Saturday is the final day of the fair, with livestock shows, the bake show, the taco contest, and carnival rides running through the afternoon and evening. Rockland Road's 7:00 PM concert at the Fair Arena closes out the fair's entertainment lineup. The concert is free with fair admission, which makes it an easy evening: walk the fairgrounds, grab dinner from a vendor, and settle in for the show.
The drive from the property
The Titus County Fairgrounds are a ten-minute drive from the property on County Road 1070. Paved road all the way, no highway, no traffic. Early October in East Texas is the best time of year for an outdoor fair: cool evenings, dry air, the kind of fall weather that makes you want to stay out until the last song. For anyone evaluating the property as a primary home or weekend retreat, having the county fair a ten-minute drive away with free concerts and a full midway is the kind of detail that makes rural Texas living feel like a decision you can feel good about.
