An outdoor holiday concert on the farm's tree field, with two national Christian acts on one stage. Ticket and date details are on Revere Farms' website.

Revere Farms, the family-run Christmas tree farm near Big Sandy, launches its holiday season with an outdoor concert on the tree field: Micah Tyler and Rend Collective share the stage on Saturday, November 28 for the annual Christmas at Revere Farms night. It is a different kind of holiday show from the usual tree lighting, a full concert set out among rows of Virginia pines, and it has become a reliable date on the East Texas Christian music calendar.

The artists

Micah Tyler, a Texan singer-songwriter, built a national following in Christian pop with songs like "Different," one of the format's most-played tracks of the past several years, and he has carried that catalog through arena and festival stages since. Rend Collective, the Northern Irish band, is known for its joyful, percussion-heavy worship sound and singalong choruses that translate easily to an outdoor field. Together they make for a concert that leans into the season rather than the spotlight, which fits a tree farm setting perfectly.

The farm

Revere Farms grows Virginia Pine Christmas trees and keeps a small herd of Highland and Guernsey cattle on the same land, and it has built its calendar around faith-centered community gatherings through the fall and winter. The concert series has drawn families from across the Tyler-Longview and greater East Texas region, and the farm keeps its own retail tree sales and holiday events going through December. For a family weekend retreat or a first visit to the area, it is an easy, pleasant hour-long drive with the holiday season already glowing by the time you arrive.

Getting there from the property

Big Sandy sits about an hour from 1786 County Road 1070, mostly west on I-30 toward the Tyler-Longview area. An outdoor November concert means dressing warmly: coats, blankets, and camp chairs are the usual uniform for a field show. Tickets are limited for the farm's concerts, so it is worth sorting out well before Thanksgiving week.
