A night of real country covers and originals from a band rooted in the Louisiana-Texas border country. Confirm the set time through redroostericehouse.com.

The Clay Logan Band is a country band out of the Shreveport and Bossier City area of Louisiana, a short jump across the state line from Northeast Texas. They play what they describe simply as real country music, and they back it with a mix of country covers and original songs that also dips into southern rock, classic rock, and acoustic country. On Saturday, March 13, 2027, they play the Red Rooster IceHouse in Hawkins, about 30 minutes from the property.

The band

The Clay Logan Band built their sound in the honky-tonks and dance halls of the Ark-La-Tex, where country music still means fiddle, steel, and a beat you can two-step to. Their sets lean on familiar country classics that fill a dance floor, seasoned with originals and enough rock and roll to keep the energy up. It is exactly the kind of band that turns a Saturday night at an icehouse into a proper night out.

The venue

Red Rooster IceHouse on North Beaulah Street in Hawkins is a classic East Texas music hall with a restaurant, full bar, and an indoor stage that hosts regional and national acts throughout the year. The menu runs to burgers, chicken fried steak, and Southern comfort food, and the room has the kind of warm, welcoming energy that makes a long drive home feel worth it. March is a good month for it: the weather is warming up, and the spring music calendar is picking back up.

The drive from the property

County Road 1070 to Hawkins is about 30 minutes via US-80 and US-271, past farmland and through the Piney Woods. A mid-March evening in East Texas is mild enough for an easy drive into town, and a night of real country music at the end of it is a fine way to cap off a weekend on the property.
